St Marguerite Parish Church

Set in the heart of Roquebrune's medieval village centre, St Marguerite church was founded in the 13th century as a chapel. 200 years later it was extended, before being remodelled in the 17th century. The interior holds several interesting decorative elements, including two paintings attributed to 17th-century local artist Marc-Antoine Otto: The Crucifixion and The Deploration of Christ. A copy of Michaelangelo's Last Judgement – 54 times smaller than the Sistine Chapel original – is displayed in the left transept.

This church is a stopping point on the magnificent Route du Baroque.

Rue Grimaldi – Roquebrune – The church is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3 to 5 pm – Free admission.
